About Claire McMillan

I first trained in clinical Hypnosis in 1995 and as an ardent believer in lifelong learning I have subsequently studied widely to include Ericksonian hypnosis, NLP, addictions, trauma and phobias, obesity and Psychotherapy.  I have two years experience in an NHS Occupational Health setting where I was part of the Psychological Wellbeing team.

Passionate about helping people to overcome their difficulties within the safety of a respectful partnership, it seems to me that people work best towards their goals in a collaborative relaxed and unstuffy atmosphere.

Whilst the tissues will always be near by, experience has taught me that a journey towards personal transformation can sometimes be punctuated with a little humour and that for some of us leaning to laugh at our past mistakes or the adversity we have faced can be a very healing process.

Above all I like to treat everyone as the unique individuals that they are and do my best to tailor sessions to their preferences and needs. My clients enjoy the creativity that this style of therapy allows and whilst the road may be challenging, it is never boring.
