I use Hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help my clients; combining the best of conversational change and the power of the unconscious mind creates a very powerful contemporary method for transforming behaviours.

Do you need a Hypnotherapist?

Do you ever wonder why you can’t seem to do things that other people seem to do quite easily, like stand up and talk to large groups of people or sleep at night?

Do you ever wish you could stop doing something you don’t want to do anymore, like smoking or biting your nails?

Do you long to stop being afraid of quite ordinary things like spiders or flying in aeroplanes?

The Change work I do addresses all of these situations in a solution focused way with a gentle deep respect for everyone’s individual view of the world and a belief that life is meant to be a lot easier than some of us find it to be.

Why use a Hypnotherapist when a bit of firm self discipline might work?

For some this may be perfectly true. On the other hand, if you could have made the change on your own you would have done so already and you wouldn’t be reading this website now, would you? 

You might also like to know that your mind is designed to maintain the status quo and predisposed to resist change, even if consciously that change seems like a good idea.

So this is not about being weak-willed or useless or any of the other phrases we sometimes use to chastise ourselves. It is much more likely that you have strongly established your sense of self through time and experience; understandably your mind is designed to protect that.  Hypnosis opens a window of opportunity, which allows you to change old and outmoded patterns and realise new ways of doing things that still fit with your sense of self. 

What is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is really about how we make sense of the world and how we communicate our understanding of our experiences to ourselves and to those around us.  We all have an individual way of making sense of what we see, hear and feel about any given experience.  The way we end up coding this information internally can either be really useful or seriously unhelpful. 

The basic premise of NLP is that you have all the resources within you already to enable you to dig yourself out of whatever hole you happen to have fallen into and whilst that is my belief, sometimes we need a little help to do that.

With hypnotherapy and NLP you can transform unhelpful beliefs into positive supportive beliefs and make life a whole lot easier to live.
